About the founder of Vigneto Communications:

Susannah Gold, founder of Vigneto Communications, has been in communications for over 20 years. Formerly a journalist for Dow Jones Newswires, Susannah has worked in PR agencies, in-house and on her own. In addition to working in communications, Susannah has been studying, teaching and enjoying wine for even longer.

Susannah is one of only a handful of non-Italians in the Associazione Italiana Sommeliers (AIS) and has received her Diploma of Wine & Spirits (DWS) from the Wine & Spirits Education Trust (WSET), a prestigious British program. She has also completed the Certified Specialist in Wine (CSW) and Certified Specialist of Spirits (CSS) exams at the Society of Wine Educators, a school in the United States and has completed her certification as a Spanish Wine Educator at the Wine Academy of Spain. She has obtained the Italian Wine Scholar certificate with highest honors, the French Wine Scholar certificate with honors and is about to take her Spanish Wine Scholar certification exam.

She also is a certified Sherry specialist and an Italian Wine Ambassador with the Vinitaly International Academy.

In 2007, Susannah decided to marry her communications and wine interests and the result is Vigneto Communications, a boutique public relations, marketing and educational consulting firm specialized in the food & wine industry. In addition to wine, Susannah loves travel and languages. She speaks Italian, French and Spanish and is learning Portuguese.

Susannah has a master’s degree in International Affairs from the Paul H. Nitze School of International Affairs (SAIS) of Johns Hopkins University. She earned her undergraduate degree from Colgate University, graduate Phi Beta Kappa, with Magna Cum Laude honors.
